My blog has been a few weeks old but still i can't find my blog in SEO. Even google did not cache my blog. Can anyone advise on how to get cache on google?

I too don't know much about SEO. But basic thing one should do is submit your blog to Google using this link : https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/dashboard?pli=1, and then add sitemap there.
You can create .xml sitemap using the following link : Create your Google Sitemap Online - XML Sitemaps Generator. If you complete this procedure, at least within one month your blog will be index in Google search.

what platform do you use. I hope is wordpress or blogspot and not something barely used.
And how did you check if your site is listed by google.
What keywords have you used.
Be sure is something that defines your site. Because other site with the same keywords can have a better rank than yours. They could be even tousands.

I listened to a webinar a few weeks back about SEO optimization and I noted three things that you need to focus on to be listed. First, you need to have good contents for you blog, then increase your blog's traffic and lastly, use keywords that searches would most likely use.
