Jobless Claims Falling: A Positive Sign For The Economy

Jobless claims fell by 10,000 from week to week according to the Labor Department. 453,000 claims were filed during the week ending on May 29, down from 463,000, a significant improvement.

Jumps like these are signs that the economy as a whole is improving.

While the claim amount may have fallen, a very positive sign, it is still fairly high, & the more it falls the better for the economy.

Six states reported that their claims fell by 1,000 or more, with Michigan saying claims fell by 2,269, and Tennessee seeing a drop of 1,808.
